Think of this 7 week course in the distinction of Alchemy, not as changing one thing onto another, but making a thing visible in a different way. Like the man said, “I do many things wrong; that’s how I get to right.”
You Are Not Stuck With What Happened! Knowing is overrated! Everything is in Flux. It’s not that it didn’t work; it’s just that what you wanted isn't visible yet!
When people describe something in the present or the future, they say “I know.”, or “I don’t know.” In fact, what they are referring to is in the past, even if it is happening or hasn’t happened yet. They are watching life as if it were a movie until they talk about knowing or not knowing; then they are looking at just a photograph.
These conceptualisms in Human Law™ keep us from living in the life within the life of doing and enable the doing of life to seem like life itself.
A truth you can use is, we don’t need to “know” and it doesn’t matter if we don’t know. We don’t need to know what it looks like. If we know what it is, and don’t like the way it is, we have to accept it or change it. If we don’t know what it is, we have to figure it out or give it up. If we step out of the concept of knowing we keep going, without judgment, until we feel it’s done, regardless of how it turns out.
Consider when you were very young and learning to walk. You did it one way until you did another, never judging, even when you began walking. You never said, “Wow, I’m walking!” You just did it and incorporated it into your life.
This course in Alchemy will guide you toward the following distinctions:
Be aware of the formlessness
Nothing has happened until you say so.
Shape the shape within the shape
The sculptor knows the figure is in the stone; he just chips away what isn’t the figure – he doesn’t change the stone into a figure.
Train the bio-mechanical reflex
The body has an intelligence that seeks familiarity – this is not resistance or proof of a lack of ability
Build a model
Models guide production.
The doing of life is not a photograph – it is not set.
Every action produces and equal and opposite reaction – winning produces losing, right produces wrong – both sides of the equation exist. Therefore evidence is like statistical data; it’ll prove anything you want.
